Hello and Welcome

Beccy's Image

Firstly, thanks for visiting my website and I hope you like what you see.

Just as an introduction, I am originally from Windsor in the UK and since 2007 I have been lucky enough to live in the beautiful French alpine town of Chamonix where from 2007 until 2019 I commuted from , flying to the UK to work as cabin crew for a major airline , travelling the world and discovering, sampling, then cooking amazing cuisines.

My love and passion for cooking undoubtedly came from my Mum Claire, who was a wonderful cook and encouraged us as children to try ourselves (making lots of mess in the kitchen in the process! ). As a result, my sister, brother and myself all have a very healthy and appreciative relationship with food.

For a long time I had wanted to venture into catering in some form but commuting and a full time flying career meant that was not possible. Then, after I stopped flying in 2019 and after taking time out I decided to pursue some of my ideas but the Covid pandemic put a halt to progress until during the French lockdown I decided to start a small takeaway food business venture from my apartment when most, or many restaurants were closed , cooking mainly Asian cuisine and this went so well that I actually had to turn down orders some weeks.

After the lockdowns had been lifted in the winter of 2021 I was invited by a chef friend to take on some private chef work in a luxury chalet in the Chamonix Valley during the ski season and after meeting the chalet company owner I accepted bookings with them, cooking for 10-12 clients for a week each time, designing, shopping for, prepping , cooking and serving 4 course meals each night with hosts to help and preparing a continental and hot breakfast each morning.

After this, more bookings came my way and although it was certainly a challenge, I knew that it was one that I was up to so since then and for both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 winter seasons I have continued to build on the successful start I made and to date have been able to deliver a bespoke private chef service to many clients and I have been really happy with the feedback I've received so I'm excited for the upcoming winter season and beyond!

My Food

"I would describe my style of cooking as varied and although I do have a particular love of Asian cuisine and often fuse different Asian flavours together (Indian, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese) , I love cooking (and eating) food from around the world, from classic and simple or more elaborate English dishes to French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Middle Eastern, Afro Caribbean and more. I love to try out new dishes and enjoy sometimes taking a classic recipe and putting my own twist on it but whatever I cook,it is always prepared with care and I consider my paying clients to be my personal guests so I want them to feel that and I hope that it's reflected in my food. I feel very happy to think that people will hopefully leave not only with memories of the beautiful surroundings and fun had in Chamonix but also remembering the delicious food that they were served too."
